Brevard County Fire Rescue Crews Douse Two Residential Structure Blazes Overnight Thursday

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to two working residential structure fires overnight on Thursday.

In the first fire at 12:19 a.m., BCFR E65 responded to a residential fire in the 7800 block of A1A in South Melbourne Beach.

The fire broke out on the top of a deck area of a two-story home and spread into the extension into attic space.

The home was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.

Cocoa Fire Rescue and Brevard County Fire Rescue E44 responded to the second fire at 6:18 a.m. in the 200 block of A Lane in West Cocoa.

BCFR said that firefighters worked a fire in a room of a single story residence.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
