BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – On Tuesday at about 9:30 a.m., a deceased female, 31, of Pennsylvania, was found inside a white 2002 GMC van parked in a lot at the corner of Minutemen Causeway and N. Brevard Avenue.

Based on the initial investigation, the death appears to be consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” said Cocoa Beach Police Department Sgt. Manny Hernandez.

“Cocoa Beach Police and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit were on-scene most of the day.”

According to Sgt. Hernandez, investigators learned that the decedent and her boyfriend recently moved to Brevard County from Pennsylvania and were visiting friends in Cocoa Beach.

“The circumstances surrounding the death are still being investigated,” said Sgt. Hernandez. “The body has been turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office.”

Woman Found Dead In Car, Cocoa Beach Police and Brevard Sheriff’s Agents Investigating

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Cocoa Beach police, along with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, are investigating what happened to a woman who was found dead in a car Tuesday morning.

According to the Cocoa Beach police, officers discovered the dead woman about 10 a.m. at Minutemen Causeway and Brevard Avenue.

This is a developing story as authorities have not released the identity of the deceased or circumstances of the woman’s death.
