Palm Bay Police Department Thanks VCOP Program Director Carlos Cheker For Five Years of Service

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Carlos Cheker is leaving the VCOP (Volunteer Citizens on Patrol) program after five years of service to move closer to his daughter and grandchildren, Palm Bay Police Department announced on Tuesday.

During the past 5 years, Cheker has volunteered over 7,076 hours of his time, energy and spirit to the citizens of Palm Bay.

Cheker was a vital part of the agencies mission and assisted in countless operations including; Command Post Team, Christmas Parades, Fourth of July, and Hurricane Relief Operations to name a few. Chief Rogers recognized Mr. Cheker for his contributions and noted that the agency and officers will be forever grateful

Palm Bay Police Department’s new VCOP Director is Leta Jordan and Sam Swan will be the VCOP Operations Supervisor.
