Two People Killed, Two Seriously Injured In Head-On Collision On SR-407, Victims Identified

Florida Highway Patrol has released the names of the victims in a two-vehicle collision that killed two people and seriously injured two others Saturday night on State Road 407 and I-95.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol has released the names of the victims in a two-vehicle collision that killed two people and seriously injured two others Saturday night on State Road 407 and I-95.

The two deceased victims have been identified as Argelio Chappotin, 55, from Melbourne, and Martha McHenry, 57, from St. Petersburg.

Both victims were transported to hospitals Parrish Medical Center and Rockledge Regional Medical Center, respectively, where they later died as a result of their injuries.

The two victims in serious condition at Holmes Regional have been identified as Larry Stubbs, 60, and Margaret McHenry, 57, both from St. Petersburg.

The investigation has revealed that Chappotin was traveling northbound on SR-407 in his 2016 Ford Edge when he veered into the southbound lanes of SR-407 and collided head-on with Stubbs, who was the driver of a 2000 Buick.

Stubbs’ passengers were Martha and Margaret McHenry.

Troopers say the reason for Chappotin veering into the oncoming lanes is unknown at this time.

State Road 407 was blocked for a period of time as officials investigated, and cleaned up the scene of the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
