Up with People Show Has Something For Everyone

SPACE COAST DAILY TV: One hundred five cast members from 20 countries arrive in Brevard for the Up With People performances taking place March 16 and 17 at Eau Gallie High.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – When the multinational cast of “Up with People” takes the stage at Eau Gallie High School in Brevard on Friday, March 16 at 8 p.m., and Saturday, March 17 at 7 p.m., audience members will find something for virtually every musical taste and interest.

Eau Gallie High school is located at 1400 Commodore Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida.

Best known for their high-energy, upbeat, family-friendly entertainment, the cast of 100 participants representing 20 countries will visit dozens of communities throughout the United States, Europe and Mexico on their five-month world tour.

For more than 50 years, the casts of Up with People have toured the globe performing for millions, including an unprecedented four Super Bowl halftime shows.

“Our newest production, Live On Tour, is designed to share our vision of a more hopeful, trusting and peaceful world.” explains Up with People Senior Vice President Eric Lentz.

“The show features entertaining pop medleys, international dances, and original UWP songs that will inspire people to make a positive difference in their communities.”

The live two-hour performance is a dynamic blend of featured soloists, full cast production numbers, fast-moving choreography and colorful costumes.

In addition to Brevard County, Up with People’s tour will include cities in the Southeast region of the US, Europe and Mexico.

In addition to their Super Bowl halftime appearances, casts have recently appeared at the 2007 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and during the opening celebration of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses’ Rose Parade in 2008 and 2011, which was estimated to be seen by a television audience of more than 50 million.

Experiencing the show is not the only way to get involved.

Local youth between the ages of 17 and 29 can apply to travel in future programs. In recent years many Florida natives have traveled the world with Up with People, including Michael Roudebush who is traveling with the group right now.
