BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – No call is too small, not even a small gator in the yard, for Cocoa police officers.

Officer Matt Houchens recently responded to the Cocoa Bay neighborhood after someone called to report a gator in the yard.

The homeowner somehow already retrieved the baby gator in a net, and since the wildlife trapper won’t respond to the little ones, Officer Houchens grabbed the baby gator out of the net and relocated it to a preservation area on the back side of the neighborhood.

Can you tell this officer is a Florida native… yep… born and raised!
