BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Fire Rescue, assisted by Brevard County Fire Rescue and the Florida Forest Service, are on the scene of a brush fire on Saturday afternoon near John Rodes Boulevard in Melbourne.

According to fire officials, the blaze is not a threat to property as of 6 p.m. Saturday evening.

Currently, there is no report as to how the fire may have started.
