Palm Bay Police, Palm Bay Hospital Set for DEA National Rx Take Back Day April 28

ABOVE VIDEO: The Palm Bay Police Department, in conjunction with Health First’s Palm Bay Hospital, invites citizens to participate in the DEA National Rx Take Back day on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department, in conjunction with Health First’s Palm Bay Hospital, invites citizens to participate in the DEA National Rx Take Back day on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This year’s collection site will be located at Health First’s Palm Bay Hospital, located at 1425 Malabar Road in Palm Bay. Please note, the pickup site will be located on the west side of the building.

There will be no chemotherapy Rx or needles accepted.

The “Prescription Drug Take-Back” is a one-day effort to provide the public a site to voluntarily surrender expired, unwanted, unused pharmaceutically controlled substances, and other medications for destruction.

This is a nationwide event held by local law enforcement agencies in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The DEA’s Take Back Day events provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.
