Deckerhoff has been the radio play-by-play announcer of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 1989. He also has served as the longtime broadcaster of Florida State Seminoles athletics, including its football team (on the radio from 1979–present), its basketball team (on the radio from 1974–present), and its baseball team (on TV).

For football games, Deckerhoff works alongside former FSU fullback William Floyd. For basketball games, Keith Jones serves as his color commentator.

Deckerhoff also has broadcast games for the Arena Football League’s Orlando Predators and Tampa Bay Storm as a television play-by-play announcer.

In 2000, Deckerhoff was inducted into the Florida Sports Hall of Fame, and in 2002 was inducted into the Florida State University Athletics Hall of Fame. Ironically, he graduated from the University of Florida, but was quoted as saying “I’m not a Gator – Period.”

Taggart, who is in his first year as the Noles’ head coach played quarterback at Western Kentucky and also served as head coach for the Hilltoppers from 2009 to 2012.

From 2013 to 2016, Taggart was the head coach at the University of South Florida in his native Tampa Bay area. He then took over as head coach at the University of Oregon in 2017 for one season.
