Brian Wilson Cancels ‘Pet Sounds’ Concert In Viera Due to Emergency Spinal Surgery

Due to emergency spinal surgery on May 2, Pop legend Brian Wilson was forced to cancel his upcoming tour dates, including his “Pet Sounds: The Final Performances” tour stop scheduled May 19 at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Due to emergency spinal surgery on May 2, Pop legend Brian Wilson was forced to cancel his upcoming tour dates, including his “Pet Sounds: The Final Performances” tour stop scheduled May 19 at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera.

“As some of you might know I have been having some issues with my back that has very recently gotten worse,” said Wilson.

“It runs in my family, Carl had back problems as well. My doctors have told me that I need to have back surgery immediately.

“They are optimistic that this will finally relieve the pain. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to everyone who was coming out to see us.”

Wilson, who turns 76 on June 20, has had previous back surgery. His tour is currently scheduled to resume on July 15 but a possible reschedule date in Viera has not been determined.
