BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – During Tuesday night’s Brevard County Commission Meeting, the Board approved and adopted two Resolutions recognizing the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office for “National Correctional Officer’s Week” (May 7, 2018 – May 13, 2018), and “National Police Week” (May 13, 2018 – May 19, 2018).

Commissioner Curt Smith read the Resolution in recognition of BCSO Corrections Deputies and Employees who consistently demonstrate their professionalism and courage as they proudly serve and protect our community. They have one of the most stressful and dangerous jobs in the Public Safety industry, as they are surrounded by some of the most dangerous criminals in our community while working each day to protect our citizens.

Commissioner Smith also read the Resolution in recognition of the service of all Brevard County Law Enforcement Deputies and Officers who have committed their lives to protecting our community and making sure that Brevard County is a safe place to call home.

They are truly our first line of defense in protecting our community as they proudly patrol our streets and neighborhoods.

On behalf of all of our Corrections Deputies, Correctional Employees, Deputy Sheriffs and all who serve in our agency, I would like to thank the County Commission for enacting the resolutions to recognize the hard work and dedication of our agency and profession.
