BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Mary Berry passed away on April 15, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. She died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving husband and three loving daughters and their families. She was 83 years of age.

Born and raised in Ashland, Kentucky, Mary traded the Blue Ridge Mountains for the ocean. In 1958, she moved to Melbourne Beach, FL where she worked for Pan American and met her husband, Roy Berry. Together they shared 59 beautiful years.

While raising her family, Mary volunteered her service in the community as a Pink Lady at Wuesthoff Hospital and as a member of the Junior League of Central Brevard and the Central Brevard Debutante Society.

Her hobbies included sailing with her husband in the Caribbean, creating beautiful pottery, playing tennis and traveling around the world with her family and friends, especially her dear friend, Polly Molnar of Cocoa Beach.

Until her illness, Mary was active in the Space Coast Tennis League, playing for Cocoa Beach and the Eau Gallie Yacht Club. Her athleticism was second only to her collection of fashionable tennis attire, which inspired her teammates to nickname her “Hollywood.” Tennis was her passion and she was the shining star on and off the court.

To her husband, Mary was the love of his life. To her daughters, Mary was a devoted mother and a best friend. To her friends, Mary was thoughtful and genuine. Her captivating beauty, her warm smile, her youthful spirit and her ability to make others laugh are the things that make Mary Berry unforgettable.

She leaves behind her husband, Roy Berry; her three daughters, Elaine Clark (Cliff), Susan Woolsey (David) & Cindy Munroe (Charles) and five grandchildren, all of whom she adored.

In place of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to a cancer research organization of your choice.
