NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne recorded 1.86 inches of rain so far today which breaks the old daily rainfall record of 1.77 for this date set in 1969.

High rain chances stick around all week with 2 to 4 inches of rain possible for most of the area through Wednesday and up to 4 to 6 inches along the coast.

Tuesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. South southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
