BCSO collects 3 Golds, 1 bronze and 1 Silver medal
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Last week a number of Brevard County Sheriff’s Office members competed in the “Florida First Responder Games” that took place in Fort Myers.
The annual event hosts Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters from across the state in Olympic style events that are open to both active duty and retired First Responders.
The games are designed to encourage fitness and health among the competitors while also enhancing team development and communication among the various agencies.
The competitors from our agency volunteer to compete in the games while using their own annual leave and paying their own expenses to attend the games.
Throughout the games, a number of our members competed in various events to include Men’s Basketball, Cross Fit, and Weightlifting.
Our weightlifters did extremely well in the games demonstrating that hard work and commitment pay off. Please join me in congratulating everyone for their outstanding efforts at the games and in thanking them for all they do every day to help protect our community.
