BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently released its Scholar All-America Teams for the 2018 spring semester and both Florida Tech swimming teams garnered the honor.

The CSCAA has named 710 teams to its Scholar All-America list for the spring semester. The teams represent 476 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions.

All 13 Sunshine State Conference member teams that sponsor swimming earned the designation.

The women’s team ranks second in the SSC with a 3.575 GPA, behind only Lynn. The Panther men’s GPA of 3.265 is third highest in the league, after Rollins and Florida Southern.

The announcement marks the seventh consecutive semester that both swim teams were recognized as Scholar All-America Teams, the first time being spring 2015.

To be selected as a CSCAA All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the spring semester.

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA, the oldest organization of college coaches in America, is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
