BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The American Police Hall of Fame & Museum has purchased a 5.1-acre parcel of land contiguous to its current property located between State Road 405 and Horizon Drive in Titusville.
The acquisition includes 467 feet of frontage along State Road 405, according to American Police Hall of Fame & Museum CEO Barry Shepherd.
“We are really excited about this opportunity,” Shepherd said. “Our facility and programs are in a growth mode and this acquisition makes possible three new projects that will be significant as we continue our mission to honor, support and serve our men and women in law enforcement.”
Additionally, Shepherd noted that the anticipated projects will add to the appeal of the Titusville region as a tourist destination.
“We are all about giving visitors access to a facility that inspires and motivates them, but also one that is just plain fun. If we can educate and challenge folks while they are enjoying themselves then we are truly leaving a lasting impact,” he said.
The facility was also recently gifted with a $42,000 law enforcement simulator that will be used for law enforcement training and for educating the public about the split-second decision-making required of officers.
“We’re really forging some exciting partnerships with corporations and foundations,” said Shepherd.
“Those relationships will help us grow the organization and spotlight all the great activities here in Brevard County. We’re blessed to be here and very excited about the future.”
