BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team is beginning its sixth season with high expectations after reaching the Southeast District Final last season.

The Titans have won the Region 8 regular season or Region tournament title every season since the start of the program in 2012.

After playing five preseason games against talented NCAA Division I and Division II teams including home matches against Embry Riddle, Florida Southern and Florida Tech, the Titans will open the regular season in Baltimore, Maryland Aug. 25-26 against Harford Community College and then the host CCBC Essex who was No. 19 in the nation last season.

The Titans home opener will also be the conference opener on Sept. 6 against Broward College. Eastern Florida State College will make a trip to Milledgeville, Ga. for games against Georgia Military College and Montgomery College before opening the conference season at home against Daytona State College Sept. 19 at 6 p.m.

Eastern Florida State College will also host ASA Miami on Sept. 25 in a conference game. They will wrap up the regular season on Oct. 17 against Touras FC at 6 p.m. at Titan Soccer Complex.

One of the leaders of the Titans this season will be All-Region 8 first team defender Rhys Myers who is back alongside sophomore midfielders Troy Gonzalez and Abdul Ganiyu as well as last season’s second-leading scorer Jimmy Mwanga.

Admission is free to games at Titan Soccer Complex which is located on the Melbourne campus of Eastern Florida State College.
