BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech head coach Robin Chan has released the men’s soccer team’s 14 game schedule for the 2018 season.

Florida Tech will play in a pair of preseason exhibition contests and is set to host seven games at Rick Stottler Field. The Panthers have three opponents listed on the schedule who were ranked in last season’s final NCAA Division II Top-25 poll.

The Crimson & Gray open up the regular season on their home field against Lee (Tenn.) on Aug. 30 before traveling to Montgomery, Alabama for matches with Auburn-Montgomery on Sep. 1 and Union (Tenn.) on Sep. 3.

Florida Tech will then return to the friendly confines of Stottler Field for its final non-conference game against Flagler on Sep. 11.

Sunshine State Conference play kicks off on Sep. 15 as the Panthers travel to West Palm Beach, Florida to take on Palm Beach Atlantic. The Sailfish made it to the NCAA Tournament in 2017 and finished the season ranked 10th.

FIT will play consecutive conference home games against Eckerd on Sep. 22 and Nova Southeastern on Sep. 26, followed by a road test at Saint Leo on Sep. 29.

The month of October starts off with the Panthers on the road at Florida Southern on Oct. 3. FIT hosts Embry-Riddle on Oct. 6 before making a pair of trips down to South Florida for road contests against Barry on Oct. 13 and Lynn on Oct. 17. Lynn is coming off a National Runner-up performance in 2017 and ended the season ranked No. 2 in the country.

The Panthers conclude the regular season with two home games. It starts off with a Senior Night matchup with Tampa, who finished 25th in the nation in 2017, on Oct. 20 and the finale will be against Rollins on Oct. 24.

This year’s SSC Tournament is set for Oct. 29 – Nov. 4. The first round of the NCAA Tournament will take place the weekend of Nov. 9-11.
