Lewis H. Cresse Jr., of Cocoa Beach passed away Tuesday, June 12 at home surrounded by family.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Lewis H. Cresse Jr., of Cocoa Beach, passed away Tuesday, June 12 at home surrounded by family.

Lew was born June 2, 1928, in Cape May, NJ to Lewis and Margaret Cresse. He was preceded in death by siblings Walt Cresse and Peggy Carlson, and sons Mark and Michael Cresse.

Lew is survived by his loving companion Lynn Mitchell of 30 years, his daughter Tanya Hansen and her husband Patric Hansen, grandchildren Haley and Logan Hansen.

He enjoyed many years of friendship with colleagues as a professor of history and government at Brevard Community College.

He will be known by those closest to him for his quick wit and adventurous spirit. He enjoyed flying, sailing, and snow skiing in Colorado.
