Titusville Police Release Body Camera Footage After Officer Deploys Taser To Arrest Fleeing Suspect

ABOVE VIDEO: Titusville Police arrested Benjamin Victor Hovan, 32, from Tallahassee, on Thursday for charges of sexual assault, kidnapping and home invasion.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police arrested a Tallahassee man on Thursday for charges of sexual assault, kidnapping and home invasion.

Police arrested the man around 11:30 a.m. and identified him as 32-year-old Benjamin Victor Hovan.

In newly released body camera footage by the Titusville Police Department, the footage shows Hovan approached by police and beginning to surrender.

During the Officer Quinn’s commands for Hovan to surrender, Hovan is then seen running away from cops, only to be tasered a short distance later, and arrested.

Hovan was wanted by Casselberry Police for charges related to sexual assault, kidnapping and home invasion. He was also considered armed and dangerous after he was last seen with a knife, according to Casselberry Police.

Police arrested the suspect around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday and identified him as 32-year-old Benjamin Victor Hovan.
