BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – I was honored to take part in the Opening Day Ceremonies for the 2018 Merritt Island Youth Football Season.

It’s exciting to know that football season has once again arrived and was even more exciting to watch the players, cheerleaders, and coaches take to the field to start another exciting season of Mustang Youth Football.

I would like to thank the association for allowing me to speak along with Lt. Klein of Brevard County Fire Rescue and Coach Hurlie Brown of Merritt Island High School, who got the participants, parents, and me fired up for the upcoming season.

I would also like to thank the Merritt Island Youth Football board members, volunteers, and parents for all they do to have a positive impact in these children’s lives.

They give so much of their time, energy and passion to the program and without question, they are making a difference in our kid’s futures.

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
