Early Morning Blaze Heavily Damages Abandoned Home on Mitchell Avenue in Mims

BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue units, with the assistance of the Titusville Fire Department and Mims Volunteer Fire Department, responded to a residential structure fire in Mims early Thursday morning.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the blaze, which occurred at 3:34 a.m., was in an abandoned home on Mitchell Avenue.

“There were no injuries, but crews were on scene for a long time putting out hotspots and assisting the inspector,” said Brevard county Fire Rescue officials.

Investigators are working on identifiying the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
