BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring a tropical wave that has formed off the west coast of Africa and preparing to move further into the Atlantic on Thursday.

Experts say the environmental conditions could help the system develop further by early next week and gain more strength as it moves into west-central tropical Atlantic ocean.

The tropical wave is moving west at 20 mph.
