BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This past Friday night I had a great time riding on horseback with our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Posse Unit as they patrolled the Avenue in Viera.
Throughout the evening, our team members worked to not only provide increased security during a very busy weekend but also to interact with everyone who patronized the stores through community outreach. There is nothing more fun than working Mounted Patrol and watching kids and adults alike as they admire the horses and skills of our team members.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Posse Unit is comprised of Volunteers and Reserve Deputies who donate their time, horses, and equipment to help protect our community.
They are an amazing group of volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours each year to our agency and mission of protecting our citizens.
A Special “Thank You” to the entire Avenue in Viera staff who always work so closely with our agency on various programs and events and to our Volunteer Mounted Patrol Unit for all they do for our agency and community!
