Titusville Woman, 26, Arrested For Child Abuse After Infant Hospitalized With Serious Injuries

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have arrested a local woman suspected in the aggravated child abuse of an infant.

Police say they arrested 26-year-old Aijah Montina Peterson from Titusville on Friday and charged her with aggravated child abuse causing great bodily harm.

The Florida Department of Children and Families alerted detectives at around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in reference to an infant, who was admitted to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation has revealed that the suspect battered the infant around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, August 30, in a residence located on the 600 block of South Brown Ave.

Peterson has been booked into the Brevard County Jail with a court date set for Saturday, Sept. 1.
