Frechette found in cocoa area, held on no bond status
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Deputies from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office West Precinct arrested “Fugitive of the Week” Ryan Frechette on Tuesday.
Frechette was arrested after Fugitive Agents received a tip from a citizen who advised that Frechette was hiding in the Cocoa area. Members of the Fugitive Unit then contacted Deputies from our West Precinct and alerted them to where Frechette was possibly hiding.
When first approached by our Deputies, Frechette provided a false name in an effort to conceal his true identity. Frechette subsequently confessed that he had provided a false name and to knowing that he had an active warrant for his arrest.
Frechette denied being aware that he was on the “Wheel of Fugitive,” however did admit that he had no intention of doing the right thing and turning himself in.
Frechette was taken into custody and transported to the Brevard County Jail where he was being held on a “No Bond” status for Violation of Probation Reference Dealing or Trafficking In Stolen Property.
So here is the moral of the story to those who are Fugitives: while you may have no intention of turning yourself in, one of our citizens has every intention of turning you in because they are partners with our agency in helping to keep Brevard County a great place to call home.
Another great job by our citizens, our Agents and our Deputies in getting another Fugitive off our streets.
