Cocoa Man, 26, Found Dead After Fight In Unincorporated Cocoa: BCSO Investigating

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a fight between two men Sunday night ended in one of the men’s death.

The man found dead has been identified as Edilsar Calderon, 26, from Cocoa.

The other man involved in the fight is identified as 33-year-old David Brayboy.

According to the investigation, BCSO deputies were called to an incident Sunday night at 6:57 p.m. in unincorporated Cocoa, located on the 2400 block of Elsie Circle.

“Calderon was at the residence returning a child that he shares in common to the child’s mother,” said Tod Goodyear of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

“When the mother returned to the residence with her boyfriend, David Brayboy, a physical interaction occurred between Brayboy and Calderon.”

BCSO Agents from the Homicide and Crime Scene Units are continuing to investigate the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of Calderon.

An autopsy will be performed by the Brevard County Medical Examiner.
