Earn Bachelor’s Degree in Three Years

Florida Tech’s Bisk College of Business is launching Accelerated Business Programs that will allow participants to finish degrees faster and get into their careers sooner – all while saving up to $55,000 in tuition and overall costs when compared with a standard-paced approach.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Florida Tech’s Bisk College of Business is launching Accelerated Business Programs that will allow participants to finish degrees faster and get into their careers sooner – all while saving up to $55,000 in tuition and overall costs when compared with a standard-paced approach.

Beyond the traditional four-year bachelor’s degree, new students interested in business may now choose from any of the following options to earn their degree or degrees in less time and with lower cost, but with no less of a quality Florida Tech education:

• Three-year program: Complete a bachelor’s degree in three years.

• Four-year (3+1) programs: Complete a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration in four years; or complete a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in accounting and financial forensics in four years and be ready to take the Certified Public Accountant licensure exam.

• Five-year (4+1) programs: Complete either the B.S. to MBA or B.S. to M.S. program as described above in five years.

Actual costs savings will vary for each student, but acceleration may result in substantial savings on overall college costs.

Accelerated business programs typically cost less than traditionally-paced programs for several reasons, including:

• The flat-rate, full-time undergraduate tuition policy allows students to take up to 19 credits per semester instead of the typical 15.
• Online courses incur a lower cost-per-credit rate than courses taken on campus.
• Less time living on campus means less time paying for room and board.

Students who wish to enroll in one of Florida Tech’s accelerated business programs must meet standard undergraduate freshman or transfer admission requirements and be admitted to, and enroll at, Florida Tech in a full-time, on-campus degree program.

Celebrating 60 years of relentlessly pursuing greatness, Florida Tech was founded in 1958 at the dawn of the Space Race that would soon define the Atlantic coast of Florida.

It is recommended that students seeking to accelerate their bachelor’s degree have scored a combined (evidence based reading and writing and math) SAT of 1,200 or composite ACT of 25 or higher. However, all admitted Florida Tech business students are encouraged to discuss acceleration with an adviser.

Students participating in one of Florida Tech’s accelerated bachelor’s-to-master’s-degree programs are not required to take a GMAT or GRE to be eligible.

However, in order to transition seamlessly from the accelerated bachelor’s degree to one of the accelerated master’s degree programs, a student must be a declared business major; demonstrate the ability to complete bachelor’s coursework with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; and have completed 78 credit hours toward their undergraduate degree.
