Tropical Storm Michael Forms, Forecasted to Become Hurricane By Wednesday

National Hurricane Center has upgraded a tropical depression near the gulf to Tropical Storm Michael and is expected to become a minor hurricane by Wednesday morning.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center has upgraded a tropical depression near the gulf to Tropical Storm Michael and is expected to become a minor hurricane by Wednesday morning.

Tropical Storm Michael is reaching max sustained winds of 40 mph winds and the storm is currently moving to the north at 6 mph.

According to the National Hurricane Center, total rain accumulations of 3 to 7 inches are expected over western Cuba and 2 to 4 inches over the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, and northern Honduras through Tuesday.
