Rosaloe Kascmer-Ryan, 79, arrested for hit-and-run crash

A Viera woman has been arrested for leaving the scene of a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a Melbourne man on US-1 and Viera Blvd. on September 20.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A Viera woman has been arrested for leaving the scene of a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a Melbourne man on US-1 and Viera Blvd. on September 20.

The hit-and-run suspect arrested has been identified as 79-year-old Rosaloe Kascmer-Ryan.

The motorcyclist who was seriously injured and taken to Holmes Regional is identified as 31-year-old Alexander Marchica.

FHP says the investigation has revealed that Kascmer-Ryan was driving a red Fiat Spider convertible northbound on US-1 around 7:50 p.m. and attempted to turn left onto Viera Blvd. where she collided with a motorcycle and ejected Marchica off the bike.

Authorities were able to locate a body repair shop where the vehicle had been dropped off.

After a two week investigation, Kascmer-Ryan turned herself into the jail and was arrested on the spot.

Kascmer-Ryan was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash involving injuries and was ticketed for violation of right of way.
