Lober is a small business owner, is self-financing his campaign and believes that Brevard can remain competitive through the right policies.

“I’ve never previously sought elected public office and I am self-funding my campaign for District 2 County Commission and, consequently, there is no possibility of my being beholden to anyone in exchange for their financial support.

“While I was registered NPA for a number of years, through college and law school, I have never been registered as a Democrat. My right-leaning beliefs have been longstanding. Years ago, while Toni Jennings served as the first female President of the state Senate, I worked as a Senate page for her,” said Lober.

Brevard County Commission candidate Bryan Lober grew up in Central Florida and from graduated from Stetson University College of Law. Lober and his wife, Rebecca, built their home in a former orange orchard near the Indian River in Rockledge, where they live with their “furry child,” Winks, the one-eyed poodle mix they rescued.

Lober is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell. He has taught subjects ranging from Criminal Litigation to Business Law at Seminole State College’s ABA Approved Paralegal Education Program.

He was recently appointed to serve on the statewide Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee and is Florida Supreme Court certified as a Circuit Civil and Family Mediator.

In July, Lober was recognized by the Brevard County Association for Women Lawyers with their annual Founder’s Award for his commitment to promoting equality in the legal profession.

“District 2 constituents deserve to be represented by someone who is fiscally conservative and will ensure that county funds are not gratuitously spent and that taxes aren’t raised unless the need is genuine and extenuating and there exist no meaningful alternatives,” said Lober.

Lober defeated Chuck Nelson in the Primary Election in August. His opponent is Democrat Victoria Mitchner in the General Election, which will be held on November 6.

Brevard County’s District 2 includes Merritt Island, Port Canaveral, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Avon by the Sea, Rockledge, Kennedy Space Center, Snug Harbor and Patrick Air Force Base.
