Applications Now Open for 2019 Cocoa Beach Citizen’s Academy Set for Jan. 15

Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Cocoa Beach Citizen’s Academy, which will begin on January 15. The Citizen’s Academy is hosted by the Cocoa Beach Police Department.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Cocoa Beach Citizen’s Academy, which will begin January 15.

The Citizen’s Academy is hosted by the Cocoa Beach Police Department.

The Citizen’s Academy is a look into the internal values, philosophy and operations of the City of Cocoa Beach Government and is designed for city residents.

Classes run for 13 weeks on Tuesday evening, one session a week for approximately three hours each, and one Saturday session.

Participants will gain knowledge and insight of each department through discussions, demonstrations and site visits to include a variety of topics and issues that pertain to the City of Cocoa Beach.

Interested applicants must submit a completed application in person to the Cocoa Beach Police Department, Police Records Division, 20 S. Orlando Avenue, Cocoa Beach, no later than December 6.  Once the class has been filled, applications will no longer be accepted.
