BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire in the 1700 block of Laramie Circle in Viera on Tuesday afternoon about 4:08 p.m.

Brevard County Fire Rescue officials said firefighters were working a fire in a single story residence and wind-driven conditions contributed to rapid fire spread and difficulty extinguishing the blaze.

“Defensive fire, occupants are out of the structure,” said BCFR officials on social media.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, one occupant was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“Both pets out of the home safely,” said BCFR officials. “Home is significantly damaged and the cause is under investigation.
