BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – After last Friday’s 38-14 win over Bishop Verot in the regional final, Cocoa will look to clinch their third straight State Championship appearance this Friday when they host University Sharks from Fort Lauderdale.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. from Dick Blake Stadium in Cocoa.

Cocoa enters Friday’s game as winners in seven of their last eight games. The Tigers only loss within that span was to the Rockledge Raiders 42-10.

University (11-1) visits Cocoa (9-3) after their win over Glades Central 45-14 last Friday.

Cocoa defeated Glades Central 29-22 on Sept. 28 in Belle Glade.

Last year, Cocoa defeated University 49-14 in the State Semifinal. The Tigers would go on to lose the State Championship to Raines Vikings 13-10 at Camping World Stadium.

Friday’s game will be broadcasted on Space Coast Daily TV by Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson and Orville Susong.

The winner between Cocoa and University will head to the State Championship in Class 4A and play the winner of defending Class 4A State Champion Raines vs Dunnellon.
