BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On November 21st, Austin Allen, a former Florida Tech Panther, was named 2018 All-Arizona Fall League Team. The AFL Team was selected based on season performance and prospect status at times.

The fourth round draft picked by the San Diego Padres, concluded the 2018 double-A season with a batting average of .290 in 119 games played. Allen recorded 22 home runs, 31 doubles and 56 runs batted in. The prospect also registered a .351 on base percentage and .506 slugging percentage.

Allen had a solid campaign in the AFL (.263/.358/.421) and led all catchers with a .770 OPS. The former Panther also got recognition behind the plate, and threw out 28.6 percent of potential base-stealers.

The Padres’ No. 25 prospects continues to have a bright future ahead of him and he is constantly improving his game both offensively and defensively.
