Orlando Melbourne International Airport Police Welcomes New Officers Pena and Taylor

Orlando Melbourne International Airport recently welcomed Officer Pena and Officer Taylor to the Orlando Melbourne International Airport Police Department. Both officers were sworn in by Airport Executive Director Greg Donovan, above left, and Police Chief Reneè Purden, above right.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Orlando Melbourne International Airport recently welcomed Officer Pena and Officer Taylor to the Orlando Melbourne International Airport Police Department.

Both officers were sworn in by Airport Executive Director Greg Donovan with Police Chief Reneè Purden.

Orlando Melbourne International Airport has federal and local security personnel providing for the safety and security of the traveling public.

It is a federally authorized gateway for international travel.

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Orlando Melbourne International Airport employs state-of-the-art scanning and screening equipment to ensure the safety of passengers and the general public.

Orlando Melbourne International Airport strictly follows airport security standards as established by the TSA.

The Orlando Melbourne Airport Police Department, led by Director of Public Safety and Police Chief Reneè Purden, has full jurisdiction over the facility and is staffed by full-time, law enforcement officers.
