The Marina Resort Complex of Cape Crossing used to be a long-neglected piece of land that held a lot of nostalgia for locals because it was the former home of the historic Tingley RV Park and Marina (a Merritt Island Landmark for more than 50 years).
“We completely rehabilitated the land to make it a place where both locals and travelers alike can bring their families to relax, explore, and experience Old-Florida,” said General Manager Ruby Daniels.
The Tingley RV Park and Marina was known for having “the best hamburger in town” and their Friday Night Fish Fries and we want to carry on that tradition by serving delicious food in our restaurant and bar.
At the restaurant, families and friends will be able to share good times and create new memories that harken back to simpler days on the island.
“At Cape Crossing, our team is more like a family and we want our guests to feel like they are a part of that family,” said Daniels.
“Many times you will find our team members having conversations with guests as if they have known each other for years because we are that passionate about getting to know our guests to make their stay feel like it was customized just for them.”
Cape Crossing is not just for people from out of state, during Hurricane Irma we opened our Clubhouse and provided food for those who had evacuated their homes in Tampa. We know that even native Floridians can find a little escape from everyday life at our resort.
