BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police emergency 9-1-1 dispatchers play an important role as part of the fire and law enforcement response teams.

These professionals are usually the first to respond to emergency calls from citizens in need, and they play a major role in dispatching help to those who need it.

This is not an easy task — it requires dedication, focus and training to carry out these duties.

Their voice is often what helps a citizen get through some of the most stressful times they may ever face.

In over 98 percent of locations in the United States and Canada, dialing “9-1-1” from any telephone will link the caller to an emergency dispatch office.

So ask yourself: Can you answer the call?

The Titusville Police Department, headed by the Chief of Police, is organized into six divisions, including the Patrol Division, the Investigations Division, the Professional Standards Division, the Administrative Division, the Support Services Division, and the Tactical Operations Division.

The Patrol Division and the Investigations Division together make up the Operations Bureau, which is headed by the Assistant Chief, while one major supervises each division.
