BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Last night, we held our first ever Christmas Event where children of all ages read Christmas Stories to our homeless pets who are spending Christmas at our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Care Center.

The event was a huge success as the children and their parents read stories to our dogs, fed them “Doggie Cookies,” and even closed the evening with some great refreshments as Susan and I read “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Twas The Night Before Christmas” to everyone in attendance.

I would like to personally thank our Animal Services Team and Community Services Unit for all they did to make last night’s event such a huge success and of course a personal thank you from Susan and I to everyone who attended and made Christmas so special for our Homeless Pets!!

As I always say “it takes a community to protect a community” and last night’s attendance is a perfect example of just how much our community cares!
