City of Palm Bay Names Andy Anderson as Interim Deputy City Manager

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Interim Palm Bay City Manager Lisa Morrell has named Andy Anderson as interim deputy city manager.
Anderson, a former Brevard County Commissioner, is currently City of Palm Bay’s Economic Development and External Affairs Director.
“Mr. Anderson has the capable knowledge of critical and high priority city projects in progress,” said Morrell.
“He will have shared oversight of essential projects within the departments of public works, facilities, economic development and growth management and will offer these project areas additional leadership, collaboration and continuity for actionable execution and success.”
On November 30, the vacated positions for deputy city manager were posted publicly for candidate applications.
The Human Resources Department will review and refer qualified candidates to the city manager’s office for further ranking, panel interviews and selection of the best candidate to serve in a leadership role.
According to a City of Palm Bay, Anderson has been encouraged to submit his application for consideration.
The deputy city manager position has an annual salary range of $85,194 to $128,322, with an assigned pay grade AP in the City’s pay plan.
According to a City of Palm Bay, Anderson’s current salary is $91,857 and a grade of AJ.
Anderson previously held the position of interim deputy city manager following the departure of former Deputy City Manager Tom Michaud in May. He served in that capacity until Bill Curry was hired in October.
