festive parade brings the hometown feeling of Christmas to you and your family

Santa will arrive on a 55-foot float with Mrs. Claus and their beautiful reindeer during the 26th Annual Melbourne Light Parade, a lighted night street parade is set for Saturday, December 8 at 6 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The 26th Annual Melbourne Light Parade, a lighted night street parade, is set for Saturday, December 8 at 6 p.m.

Sit back and enjoy the wonders of the Melbourne area as this festive parade brings the hometown feeling of Christmas to you and your family.

There will be locally made and designed floats from girls scout and boy scout groups, local businesses, churches, and other local community groups. Also included will be bands, ROTC groups, dance teams and much more.

And, don’t forget Santa as he arrives on a 55-foot float with Mrs. Claus and their beautiful reindeer.

Spectators are invited to join in the spirit of giving as a food and toy drive will also be part of this event.

Just bring a nonperishable food item or a new unwrapped toy or a bag of dog or cat food to the parade. Volunteers walking alongside the first float will gladly take it from you and all donations stay in Brevard County

The parade route starts at 1300 Airport Boulevard and heads south on Airport Boulevard to Hibiscus Boulevard. The parade then turns right on to Hibiscus Boulevard and the heads West to Gateway Drive to its conclusion.
