BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – In a partnership between Titusville Police and the Titusville Police Youth Foundation, kids were given $100 to shop at Walmart in Titusville.

Titusville Police Officers and Department volunteers donated their time for the event and led children on a Holiday Shopping Spree.

Children, who were selected by local school administrators and Titusville Police School Resources Officers, were paired up with an officer or volunteer at police headquarters at 7:30 a.m.

Shoppers were treated to breakfast at the McDonald’s restaurant on Cheney Highway and then driven to Walmart in charter buses donated by Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

“This is an event that we look forward to every year,” said Deputy Chief Todd Hutchinson.

“It is a truly rewarding experience for both the children and our department members.”
