Child suffers minor burns from the fire

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Fire Rescue has responded to a mobile home fire Wednesday afternoon on the 4000 block of Gatewood St. in Cocoa.

A spokesperson with Brevard Fire Rescue says two people suffered burn injuries.

One of the people injured is identified as a child. The child suffered minor burns, according to BCFR.

The other person suffered burn injuries and was taken to an Orlando hospital for treatment.

Rescue units responded to the scene around 4 p.m.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
