COCOA POLICE UPDATE: Police Identify Two Men Shot Thursday Near Peachtree Street

Cocoa Police Public Information Officer Yvonne Martinez. has identified the men involved in the shooting on Thursday as Aaron Calhoun, 27, and 32-year-old Timothy McKinnis.

Cocoa Police Public Information Officer Yvonne Martinez. has identified the men involved in the shooting on Thursday as Aaron Calhoun, 27, and 32-year-old Timothy McKinnis.

Both victims are in the hospital undergoing treatment for their injuries resulting from the exchange of gunfire.

Detectives are still actively investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police patrol officers and detectives are currently investigating a shooting in which two men were sent to the hospital.

“It appears the two men shot each other and a third person may also have been involved,” said Cocoa Police Public Information Officer Yvonne Martinez.

“At approximately 9:30 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the area of 904 Peachtree Street for reports of a shooting.”

Martinez said the investigation revealed two men had been shot.

One victim was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital and the second victim was dropped off at Rockledge Regional Medical Center.

The conditions of both men are not currently available.

Cocoa police detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and documenting the scene.
