ORLANDO, FLORIDA – A baby giraffe was born at at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.

The giraffe was born around 2 p.m. on Monday and stands at around 6-feet tall.

The mother giraffe, Mara, and her newly born calf are already bonding, according to officials.

Officials say it’s too early to tell if the baby giraffe is male or female.

ABOVE VIDEO: Disney’s Animal Kingdom is celebrating the arrival of Amira last month, a two-month-old female Masai giraffe calf, who just made her first steps on the Kilimanjaro Safaris savanna. Named after the Swahili word for princess, Amira’s name was chosen in a vote by Disney Parks Blog readers.
