BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA (WESH) – In a race to help neglected and orphaned children, a Brevard County charity is finishing up a remarkable, one-of-a-kind project — building an entire neighborhood to help society’s neediest members.

WESH 2’s Dan Billow talked to the dynamic woman spear-heading the urgent effort.

Over the holidays, volunteers did not stop to rest while they completed what they’re calling an extreme build — an urgent mission that started with a dream.

“These dreams started like 15 years ago, 14 years ago. They just kept coming with more and more detail,” said Kim Frodge, executive director and volunteer with Nana’s House.

This is what Frodge dreamed: a small community — eight houses and two apartments — to provide private, loving homes for the neediest of children.
