Brevard County Fire Rescue Knocks Down Residential Structure Fire On Merritt Island

Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded Sunday to a residential structure fire in the 1800 block of Sandbar Drive on Merritt Island. Brevard County Fire Rescue units Trk41, R41, Sq41, E43, R43, E40 and DC40 were on the scene at about 2 p.m. and extinguished the fire.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded Sunday to a residential structure fire in the 1800 block of Sandbar Drive on Merritt Island.

Brevard County Fire Rescue officials said light smoke from a single story residential attic fire was caused by a possible electrical problem.

Brevard County Fire Rescue units Trk41, R41, Sq41, E43, R43, E40 and DC40 were on the scene at about 2 p.m. and extinguished the fire.

The occupants of the home were able to escape and there were no injuries reported.
