Cocoa Man Arrested For Murder of Tashaun Jackson, Charged With First-Degree Murder

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Detectives have arrested a suspect for the murder of Tashaun Jackson.

Police have identified the suspect as 30-year-old Joshua Taylor.

Taylor is facing a charge of first-degree murder and is being held at the Brevard County Jail without bond.

Officers arrested him at around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at his mother’s home on Fay Street without incident.

Police say investigation is still active and details surrounding of the case cannot be released.

Jackson’s family reported Tashaun missing on February 10 after she failed to return home Saturday (Feb. 9) from a trip to the store.

A week later, a Brevard County Sheriff’s Office helicopter located the body of 31-year-old Tashaun Jackson near Deer Park Rd. east of Nova Rd. in Osceola County.

Jackson was a mother to four children.

Tashaun Jackson, 31. was killed after a trip to the store in Cocoa. Her body was located in Osceola County on February 16.
