Cocoa Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Northbound I-95 Near Melbourne

A Cocoa man was killed in a motorcycle crash along I-95 in Melbourne on Sunday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A Cocoa man was killed in a motorcycle crash along I-95 in Melbourne on Sunday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the 47-year-old man was traveling northbound on I-95  around 4 p.m. when he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected from the bike near mile marker 182.

The man was taken to Melbourne Regional where he later died.

Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.

The man’s identity is being withheld until the family has been properly notified.

The result of the crash caused two lanes on northbound I-95 to be closed, while traffic backed up to US-192.
