SPACE COAST DAILY TV: The Orlando Melbourne International Airport is hosting the Air Service Development Workshop from the Hilton Rialto. The Keynote speaker is Mike Boyd, President and CEO of Boyd Group International.

Your input is encouraged at the airport public workshop tonight when Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB) hosts a public workshop to discuss the development of air service to and from the Space Coast.

Industry expert Mike Boyd will lead the discussion about how airlines decide where to fly, how to get the best ticket prices and what to expect from your hometown airport in the future.

Questions will be taken from the audience to be answered by Mr. Boyd, airline consultants, airport staff and airport authority members.

Seating is a first-come, first-serve basis. Refreshments will be served. Space Coast Daily will be broadcasting live from the event. If you would like to submit a question in advance of the event, you may email it to Authority@MLBair.com and will be answered as time allows.

Who should attend?

“We’re hoping that everyone interested in airline service to and from MLB will attend,” said Greg Donovan, A.A.E., airport executive director.

“Not only will some important questions be answered,” said Donovan,” but the mystery of airline route decisions will be explained in detail by one of the most respected industry spokesmen in the nation.”

And what about the tough questions? Donovan said he looks forward to a candid exchange between constituents and experts.

“We will be forthcoming with information and responses. This community could make a difference in our ability to attract and retain air service. This workshop is an important step in that important direction.”
